I Heart this Week {Feb. 6 to Feb. 14}

I Heart Buttermilk Biscuits

This year’s Valentine’s Day will not have an exhaustive plan for several reasons. The commercial pressure of spending money takes away the “the spur of the moment” romantic feeling. Sometimes too much menu planning and grocery shopping becomes time consuming. I don’t want to spend all day cooking a romantic meal, either. Maybe, the boyfriend will make dinner reservations? Besides, I cook all the time. Every dish I make comes from the heart. However, I did place some pressure on the boyfriend, I’m dropping hints about chocolate. If I’m dropping hints, then I better start making plans for him. Perhaps, a romantic breakfast before he goes to church? Can you hear Etta James singing, A Sunday Kind Of Love, in the background? Happy Valentine’s Day.

    Last year, I planned a full Valentine’s Day with the boyfriend. We were exhausted by that evening. The lesson learned: Romance is more fun as a surprise.
    I might serve a nice Valentine’s Day breakfast, but the rest of the day’s requirement is to have fun and relax. I hope you have a nice Valentine’s Day.

    Thanks for stopping by… I love the cookie cutouts and agree…. the commercialization of Valentines sucks all the fun out of it… perhaps we should start a movement to have it when the spirit moves… without all the bad candy!!!
